Statement of Purpose to Join the Forum (max. 200 words)

The Hong Kong Laureate Forum provides a great opportunity to participate in a unique event, that brings together those conducting pioneering scientific research and younger aspiring researchers. As a dedicated young scientist passionate about cross-disciplinary collaboration, I believe that this Forum is an unparalleled opportunity to engage with Shaw Laureates who have revolutionised our understanding in disciplines such as Astronomy, Life Science and Medicine, and Mathematical Sciences. The Forum's structure offers the ideal environment to deepen my knowledge while connecting with peers from diverse backgrounds. I am particularly excited about the prospect of being able to present some of my own research work and receive direct feedback from established experts. The Forum distinguishes itself from more traditional scientific conferences through its commitment to bridging the gap between generations and cultures in science. As a result, the Forum creates a one-of-a-kind platform for innovation and mentorship, allowing for meaningful interactions between established laureates and emerging scholars from countries around the world. In addition to the academic side, I see the Forum's cultural activities as gateways to understanding science in a global context. This experience will strengthen my professional network and inspire new collaborative possibilities in my future research.

Abstract of Research / Brief Description of Your Current Research Interest (max. 200 words)

As a researcher, my work is focused on solving problems at the intersection of statistics, economics, and finance, in the blockchain, digital assets, and digital finance space. In particular, I am interested in blockchain regulation from the perspective of the financial risks of cryptocurrencies, network modelling of blockchain-based systems, and fraud detection in digital asset networks.
