As a mathematics PhD candidate at the University of Macau specializing in stochastic modeling and machine learning applications, I seek to join the Hong Kong Laureate Forum to engage with interdisciplinary scientific leaders and contribute to its vision of cross-generational academic exchange. My research focuses on Gaussian processes and diffusion models (published in Computational Economics, Neurocomputing), directly aligning with the Forum’s emphasis on fostering innovation through dialogue.
Having studied in Macao, London, and Shenzhen, I value cultural diversity in scientific collaboration. As a teaching assistant for stochastic processes and statistical courses, I actively mentor undergraduates, reinforcing my belief in nurturing emerging talents—a principle central to the Forum’s mission. My technical background and international academic exposure position me to meaningfully participate in workshops and poster sessions, while learning from Shaw Laureates’ insights.
The Forum’s focus on youth development resonates with my aspiration to bridge theoretical mathematics with real-world challenges. I aim to absorb cutting-edge perspectives, strengthen interdisciplinary networks, and share my work on probabilistic modeling. This opportunity will advance my doctoral research and inspire my long-term goal of promoting STEM education in Greater China.
