I am eager to join this forum to contribute my expertise and gain insights from like-minded professionals dedicated to addressing global health challenges. As a PhD researcher focusing on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), my work involves assessing knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of antibiotic use among the public and university students in Malaysia. My research extends from my Master’s study, where I conducted a nationwide survey on public awareness of AMR and published a book featuring personal narratives to enhance public understanding.
Beyond academia, I actively engage in AMR advocacy through educational interventions, systematic reviews, and the "AMR Talk" podcast. I am particularly interested in interdisciplinary collaborations that translate research into impactful public health initiatives.
Joining this forum will allow me to exchange knowledge, explore innovative solutions, and collaborate with experts in the field. I look forward to engaging in meaningful discussions, sharing my research findings, and contributing to collective efforts in combating AMR and promoting responsible antibiotic use.

My research focuses on antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a critical global health threat driven by the misuse and overuse of antibiotics. Building on my Master’s work, which examined public knowledge of antibiotic resistance in Malaysia, my PhD study aims to develop an educational intervention targeting university students, a group identified as having lower AMR awareness.
The research involves multiple components: (1) a survey assessing knowledge, attitudes, and perceptions of AMR among undergraduates, with a target of 385 participants; (2) a systematic review analyzing global studies on AMR awareness among university students; (3) in-depth interviews exploring behavioral drivers behind antibiotic use; and (4) the design of an educational intervention tailored to Malaysian undergraduates.
Through this research, I seek to bridge the knowledge gap and promote responsible antibiotic use among young adults. Additionally, I engage in AMR advocacy through public outreach activities, including a podcast series and educational storytelling initiatives. By combining research with awareness efforts, I aim to contribute to more effective strategies in combating AMR.
