As a PhD candidate at University of Bern and Swiss Paraplegic Research, Europe’s leading spinal cord injury (SCI) research center, I am dedicated to exploring the complex microbial dynamics in SCI patients through genomics and multi-omics approaches. My research integrates metagenomics, transcriptomics, and functional analyses to uncover the interplay between host and microbiota in the context of SCI-associated infections and immune modulation. This work holds critical implications for precision medicine and novel therapeutic strategies.
Attending the Hong Kong Laureate Forum presents an invaluable opportunity to engage with leading scientists in life sciences, medicine, and genomics, fostering interdisciplinary collaborations and gaining insights into cutting-edge advancements. The exchange of knowledge with fellow young researchers and distinguished laureates will enrich my scientific perspective, inspire innovative approaches, and strengthen my contributions to microbiome research in clinical settings.
By participating in the Forum, I aim to bridge fundamental microbial research with translational applications, furthering the understanding of host-microbiome interactions in SCI. I look forward to the stimulating discussions, networking opportunities, and scientific exchange that will shape the next phase of my academic journey.
