As a first-year PhD student in Life Science at HKUST, I am driven to decode the complexity of brain tumors through computational methods. My research integrates machine learning and various data analytic tools with multi-omics and spatial-temporal data to unravel tumor evolution, heterogeneity, plasticity, and microenvironment in brain cancers. My academic foundation—a double-major degree BSc in Biochemistry and Cell Biology, and in Data Science and Technology—equipped me with skills in biological background and data analysis and a passion for translational impact.
The Hong Kong Laureate Forum 2025 presents a transformative opportunity to engage with pioneers in life science and mathematics. Participation will deepen my interdisciplinary perspective, critical for addressing challenges in my future research career..
Beyond technical growth, I aim to communicate my findings effectively, inspired by laureates’ mentorship, and contribute to global oncology innovation. This forum aligns with my vision to advance computational tools that empower studying brain cancer, ultimately improving patient outcomes. I am eager to absorb cutting-edge knowledge and forge collaborations that amplify my PhD impact at HKUST and beyond.
