Life Science and Medicine
I am a passionate Biological Sciences undergraduate at Imperial College London. I have a strong interest across all life sciences, particularly evolution and its application to medicine and research. I have attended local events to broaden my knowledge and explore future research opportunities. I am eager to attend the forum to engage with cutting-edge researchers and network with prominent figures in modern biology.
I have previously researched and delivered in-depth talks on topics like bioluminescence and convergent evolution to my college and biology society. I also presented an academic poster on the possibility of silicon-based life.
Since joining Imperial, I have deepened my understanding for biological science by attending seminars and forums hosted by doctors and professors. I have recently been inspired by reading Richard Dawkins “The Genetic Book of the Dead”, which further evolved my understanding of genetics and how it influences organisms.
I believe my enthusiasm for learning will allow me to contribute insightfully to whilst learning meaningfully from the forum. I am a confident and enthusiastic individual and if successful, I will make the most of all aspects of this opportunity, leaning from and networking with high profile members of the Biology worldwide community.
