I am honored to apply for the opportunity to participate in the upcoming Second Hong Kong Laureate Forum. As a freshly graduated PhD researcher working in immunology and regenerative medicine, with a focus on intestinal diseases, I believe the forum's mission aligns closely with my professional aspirations, and I am eager to engage with scientists from different generations, cultures, and disciplines.
My research aims to advance our understanding of immune responses and potential regenerative therapies for individuals affected by inflammatory bowel diseases and other intestinal disorders. I am passionate about promoting scientific knowledge and supporting development in this vital area of healthcare. Participation in the forum will allow me to interact with esteemed laureates and fellow young scientists, gaining insights that could significantly enhance my research efforts.
The diverse activities offered at the forum will provide a platform for me to share my findings, learn from pioneers in the field, and foster collaboration. I hope to contribute to discussions on how innovative strategies in immunology can address pressing health challenges.
Thank you for considering my application.

My research is centered on unraveling the complexities of mucosal immunology, with a particular focus on the roles and mechanisms of epithelium-immune crosstalk. Through exploring the dynamics of regeneration and stem cell biology, my work aims to elucidate how these processes contribute to maintaining tissue homeostasis and responding to injury. Additionally, I am deeply interested in the interplay between these cellular mechanisms and type 2 immunity, seeking to understand how they collectively influence immune responses and tissue repair. By integrating these areas of study, my research endeavors to advance our knowledge of immune regulation and tissue resilience, with the potential to inform novel therapeutic strategies for related intestinal disorders such as inflammatory bowel diseases and food allergy.
