Osteoarthritis is the joint disease with the highest incidence and disability rates worldwide. Epidemiological studies indicate that 40% of people will eventually develop osteoarthritis.
My research focuses on osteoarthritis, aiming to elucidate the mechanisms of cartilage and subchondral bone degeneration during the disease's progression.
Specifically, I devote myself to elucidate the alterations of epigenetic modifications in chondrocytes and subchondral bone osteoblasts during OA.
Based on these mechanisms, I intend to design effective interventions to ultimately achieve translational outcomes and help develop effective disease-modifying OA drugs in the future.
