Statement of Purpose to Join the Forum (max. 200 words)

Participating in the inaugural Hong Kong Laureate Forum was a transformative experience, allowing me to connect with brilliant minds addressing global challenges in science and technology. As a professional specializing in in-vitro diagnostics and oncology, I witnessed firsthand how interdisciplinary collaboration accelerates innovation.
I now seek to rejoin the Forum to:
Strengthen Ties Between Research and Industry – My work at the intersection of diagnostics, regulatory compliance, and emerging markets aligns with Hong Kong’s role as a gateway for global medtech. I aim to bridge academia and industry by sharing insights on bringing diagnostic innovations to market.
Pursue Career Opportunities in Hong Kong – The Forum’s network is invaluable as I explore roles in Hong Kong’s biotech startups. Connecting with laureates and peers could open doors to projects addressing healthcare gaps in the Asia-Pacific.
Mentor and Be Mentored – As a returning delegate, I’ll contribute my expertise in biotechnology and oncology while learning from leaders. My goal is to foster partnerships that advance equitable diagnostic solutions.
Hong Kong’s unique position—blending Eastern and Western scientific excellence—mirrors my own trajectory from Russia to global markets. I’m eager to collaborate with Forum participants on scalable, impactful science.

Abstract of Research / Brief Description of Your Current Research Interest (max. 200 words)

As a Postdoctoral Research Scientist in the Translational Research Laboratory in Immunotherapy at Gustave Roussy (2022-2023), I led a translational study investigating circulating antibody signatures as predictive biomarkers for immune-related adverse events (irAEs) in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) patients receiving immune checkpoint inhibitors (PREMIS trial cohort, n=200+). I designed and executed experiments using multiplex ELISA (MSD Meso Scale Discovery/HuProt) and high-parameter flow cytometry (BD LSRFortessa) to comprehensively profile serum proteins, immune cell populations, and autoantibody repertoires. My work identified novel associations between pre-treatment autoantibody profiles and subsequent development of irAEs. I established collaborations with industry partners to explore clinical applications of these biomarkers, including potential companion diagnostic development. This research contributes to the growing understanding of immune toxicity mechanisms while addressing an urgent unmet need in precision oncology - balancing immunotherapy efficacy with patient safety. My translational approach bridged basic immunology with clinical implementation, leveraging Gustave Roussy's unique trial infrastructure to accelerate biomarker discovery.
