Handong Ma is the Co-founder and COO of Shanghai Synyi Medical Technology Medical Co., Ltd. Handong Ma was born on May 12, 1991, in Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, China. He is a senior AI engineer and a recipient of the Shanghai Youth Science and Technology Talent Sailing Program. Ma holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, an M.A. in Biomedical Informatics from Columbia University, and a B.Sc. in Biology from Fudan University. In 2009, he was admitted to Fudan University's Science and Technology Honors Program. During his university studies, he was awarded the title of Wang Dao Scholar. In 2013, he joined Columbia University's Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) Department, under the guidance of Professor Chunhua Weng, focusing on the application of clinical data analysis. Later, he pursued a Ph.D. in Computer Science at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, under the mentorship of Professor Yu Yong, focusing on AI algorithms for medical data.
