Dear Selection Committee,
I am writing to express my keen interest in joining the Hong Kong Laureate Forum as an
aspiring researcher in biological sciences, with a particular focus on cancer research, drug
discovery, and life sciences. The opportunity to engage with distinguished Shaw Prize laureates,
including the 2023 and 2014 winners in Life Science and Medicine, is an invaluable chance to
learn from pioneers who have made transformative contributions to these fields.
My passion for cancer biology and therapeutic development stems from the profound impact
that innovative research can have on human health. Cancer remains one of the most complex and
challenging diseases, and advancements in molecular biology, genomics, and drug discovery are
paving the way for groundbreaking treatments. I am eager to contribute to this evolving field by
gaining deeper insights from leading scientists who have shaped modern biomedical research.
Attending lectures and discussions at the Hong Kong Laureate Forum will allow me to:Learn from Laureates’ Expertise – Understanding their research approaches, challenges, and breakthroughs will inspire and guide my own scientific journey.2.
