Functional and structural studies on the mammalian sodium proton exchanger isoform one (NHE1) by mutagenesis, cell culture, fluorometric assay and nuclear magnetic resonance. Having a thorough understanding of the NHE1 mechanism can aid the development of therapeutics for breast cancer metastasis and neurological disorders.
