As a junior researcher specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine interventions, particularly parent-administered pediatric tuina and self-administered acupressure, I am eager to join the Hong Kong Laureate Forum 2025. My academic journey from undergraduate studies to my current position at PolyU has centered on investigating how these meridian-based techniques can be systematically evaluated for their efficacy in disease management and health promotion.
The Forum offers a valuable platform to bridge traditional Chinese medicine practices with modern biomedical science. I hope to exchange knowledge on how these non-invasive, accessible interventions influence physiological mechanisms and produce measurable health outcomes across different populations.
I seek to learn from leading researchers to discuss methodological approaches for studying TCM interventions through designs that honor traditional principles while adhering to scientific rigor. The Forum's interdisciplinary nature aligns perfectly with my research, which integrates traditional medicine, pediatric health, self-care strategies, and evidence-based clinical applications.
Participating would enrich my research by introducing me to cutting-edge perspectives from renowned scientists who have made significant contributions to life sciences and medicine, helping advance my goal of establishing TCM interventions as credible, well-researched components within comprehensive healthcare frameworks worldwide.
