As a young researcher specializing in interpretable AI, I am eager to participate in the Hong Kong Laureate Forum and engage with leading scientists and fellow emerging scholars from around the world. My first experience at the Forum was transformative—I gained invaluable insights through interdisciplinary discussions and formed lasting connections with inspiring researchers.
This year’s themes strongly resonate with my current work on the mathematical foundations of AI. I am particularly excited about the opportunity to explore state-of-the-art methodologies and potential collaborations that could drive progress in developing trustworthy AI systems. The Forum’s mission to bridge generations of scientists deeply aligns with my values, and I am committed to contributing actively to its vibrant, intellectual community.
Thank you for considering my application. I look forward to meaningful exchanges that will enrich my research and contribute to the advancement of the broader scientific community.

I focus on the theoretical analysis of interpretability in artificial intelligence (AI) methods. Specifically, the applicant not only investigates how to scientifically and rigorously explain the generalization error and intrinsic prediction mechanisms of AI models but also explores whether such interpretability results can be effectively applied in practice—such as guiding hyperparameter optimization and model architecture design.
