The Hong Kong Laureate Forum represents an outstanding platform to bridge the gap between emerging research and established scientific excellence. By interacting with acclaimed Shaw Laureates and engaging with a diverse group of young researchers, I aim to refine my research questions, gain fresh perspectives on ongoing challenges, and build collaborations that drive both innovation and practical impact in life sciences and across disciplinary. I am particularly inspired by the Forum’s commitment to facilitating dialogue among various scientific disciplines—a quality that aligns with my own belief in the value of interdisciplinary collaboration for solving complex scientific problems.
If selected, I intend to actively contribute to discussions, participate in workshops, and leverage the unique networking opportunities to foster academic collaborations that can augment my current research trajectory in neuroscience. Furthermore, I believe the Forum’s environment will not only support my professional development but also enable me to contribute meaningfully to the broader scientific community by sharing my insights and experiences.

My current research focuses on understanding molecular and cell type basis of neural circuits dynamics underlying flexible behaviors. By integrating advanced genetic perturbation methods with large-scale in vivo neural activity recording technologies, I aim to enable cell-type-resolved analyses of gene functions in neural coding while animals actively adapt their behaviors in changing environments.
