In our rapidly evolving world, the boundaries between disciplines are dissolving. Mathematics underpins many breakthroughs in fields like artificial intelligence and life sciences. The need for interdisciplinary dialogue becomes essential—not only for advancing research but also for refining how we teach and communicate science.
During my studies, I had the pleasure of interacting with other researchers from natural, computer, and social sciences, even arts and exchanging perspectives. On several separate encounters, we hosted two international multidisciplinary conferences, one on ASEAN development and diversity, the other on Indonesia's contribution to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals. I was also involved in two book projects on Indonesia's education landscape.
Now, as an education-focused lecturer at UNSW, I work on improving first-year mathematics teaching. Emerging technologies like AI are reshaping how students learn and engage with mathematical ideas. To respond meaningfully, I must understand not just mathematics, but how it intersects with other disciplines.
The Hong Kong Laureate Forum offers an invaluable opportunity to engage with scientists from across fields, broaden my perspective and improve my approach to both research and teaching. I hope to contribute my experience, learn from others, and build collaborations that reflect the increasingly interdisciplinary nature of science.

My main research interest lies at an intersection between algebraic combinatorics and algebraic geometry. I am interested in the integration theory over objects defined over finite fields and general field of characteristic zero. My previous work was in the polynomial integration theory over unit circles over finite fields of odd characteristic and general fields of characteristic zero. There is a strong parallel with the traditional integration theory over the real numbers. These results suggest the possibility to define integration theory more algebraically without reliance on real numbers.
