From the field of Nepal to the frontiers of science, I carry not just ambition but the hopes of a generation. I am a first-generation student and early career researcher from Nepal, a developing country. Joining the Council of the Hong Kong Laureate Forum will benefit me, society, and the nation. I believe in the role reflection and motivation that a society gets seeing someone among them shining on the global stage. It validates their sacrifice and reinforces their faith in being recognised.
Beyond this social sentiment and my community's collective dreams, I bring academic strength and a passion for research. As an early career scientist with a background in pharmaceutical science and specialisation in vascular pharmacology, I am confident in my ability to contribute meaningfully to the council's mission.
To me, this role is both a privilege and a responsibility: to represent underrepresented voices, contribute to shaping the future of science, and inspire the next generation of innovators from Nepal.
The council offers an exceptional opportunity for the global advancement of science, international collaboration, and exposure, which seemingly aligns with my passion for embracing scientific excellence, cross-cultural dialogue and working out of silos for humankind.
